The latest addition to my increasing collection of pedals.
Yesterday I picked up the DITTO from the Stockholm based pedal experts at “These goes to 11“. A very nice store with amazing service, including a big smile when I opened up the door.
After the audio interface Konnekt 24D I’ve been looking in other directions from TC Electronic. But an increasing bag of bass related things brought the interest back to the company, and then came the DITTO!
A small, yes it really is tiny, looper that do just one thing: Loop! In, out, a volume control and a footswitch, when competing brands push more and more features into the looper pedals, the TC just gives us the simple to use core function. And really, thats all you probably need.
The sound quality is great, the loop sounds just as good as the direct sound. But if you have a too hot signal in it starts to sound bad. I used the FloorQ to boost about 10dB and that was a bit too much for the Ditto to handle. I really love/hate the FloorQ, and should probably find something better.
My intent with the Ditto is to mainly use it as a practice tool, recording instant playalongs. And for that use it’s a perfect match.
One caution though: stomping that footswitch in time do need some practice.
More examples will come on the DITTO Sessions page
